El proyecto «Food in Eco Network – internationalization and global competitiveness of European SMEs in Food and Eco Logistics Sector» (acrónimo: FoodNet) está cofinanciado por el programa COSME de la Unión Europea en el marco de la convocatoria «Clusters go International» call for the project proposals under Grant Agreement No. 783395.
Existen diferentes desafíos para las cadenas de suministro actuales de la industria alimentaria. El objetivo del proyecto es mejorar el potencial de los clusters del mercado alimentario europeo haciendo que los procesos comerciales y logísticos sean más sostenibles. El conjunto de herramientas y la estrategia podrán formular recomendaciones concretas para las PYME.
El proyecto aborda las necesidades actuales en el área de la cooperación y la mejora del comportamiento ecológico en la cadena de suministro de los grupos de alimentos y otros grupos industriales. Agro-Food es una industria clave para las sociedades de todo el mundo. La calidad y seguridad de los productos alimenticios parece ser el problema crucial. Para lograr esto, necesitamos tener una red efectiva orientada a objetivos a largo plazo y respaldada por un buen sistema logístico.
Por todo ello, el objetivo principal de la acción propuesta es establecer y mantener, una vez efectuado el proyecto, una red Food In Eco (FoodNet): un metacluster a largo plazo y en consonancia con la European Strategic Cluster Partnership Going International (ESCP-4i), que dé soporte a organizaciones de redes empresariales, sus PYMES y otros miembros colaboradores como podrán ser los proveedores de soluciones tecnológicas y de apoyo a la innovación, la captación del mercado y la comercialización de productos, servicios y tecnologías competitivos en el campo de la alimentación y la eco-logística.
El proyecto está dedicado a las PYMEs, especialmente en los siguientes sectores: el sector alimentario (fresco, bio, ecológico), el sector de la logística, el sector de las TIC y el sector de la energía, cooperando / asociando dentro de conglomerados, autoridades regionales y organizaciones sectoriales (por ejemplo, grupos de productores de alimentos, clusters, instituciones del entorno empresarial).

LODZistics LOGISTICS BUSINESS NETWORK OF CENTRAL POLAND: Cluster que recoge a todas las entidades relacionadas con la logística o que contribuyen a su desarrollo.
LOGISTICS IN WALLONIA: Logística en Valonia es el Clúster de Competitividad dedicado al sector de Transporte, Logística y Movilidad en Valonia (Bélgica).
AGRO TRANSILVANIA CLUSTER: AgroTransilvania Cluster, con sede en Cluj (Rumanía), es una asociación profesional de 70 miembros en el campo de la agroalimentación.
LATVIAN LOGISTICS ASSOCIATION: Letonia Logistics Association (LLA) es una asociación voluntaria de organizaciones y especialistas en logística y aduanas.
COEXPHAL. ASOCIACIÓN DE ORGANIZACIONES DE PRODUCTORES DE F&H DE ALMERÍA. Asociación de Organizaciones de Productores de Frutas y Hortalizas de Almería (COEXPHAL), agrupa a 83 empresas hortofrutícolas y representa el 70 % en exportación y el 65 % en producción hortofrutícola, así como el 67 % en producción ornamental.

The project “Food in Eco Network – internationalization and global competitiveness of European SMEs in Food and Eco Logistics Sector” (acronym: FoodNet) is co-funded by the COSME programme of the European Union in the frame of „Clusters go International” call for the project proposals under Grant Agreement No. 783395.
There are different challenges for today’s supply chains of food industry. The project aims at improving the potential of European food market clusters by making business and logistics processes more sustainable. It will be possible by the set on tools and strategy with concrete recommendations for SMEs.
Next to the intra clusters cooperation some cooperative bonds between clusters will be also initiated to enhance the competitive advantage of European SMEs on global market. Therefore the project will address current needs in the area of cooperation and improving green behavior in supply chain of food clusters and other industry clusters.
Agro-Food is key industry for societies around the world. The quality and safety of food products seems to be the crucial issue. To achieve this we need to have an effective network oriented on long-term goals and supported by good logistics system.
It is the reason why the main objective of the proposed action is to establish and sustain after the end of actions planned in this project a Food In Eco Network (FoodNet), an EU wide meta-cluster as a long term European Strategic Cluster Partnership Going International (ESCP-4i) supporting clusters and business network organizations, their SMEs and other cluster members collaborating for innovation, market-uptake, and marketing of competitive products, services and technologies in the field of food and eco-logistics and support SMEs in global competition.
The project is dedicated to SMEs, especially in the following sectors: the food sector (fresh, bio, eco), the logistics sector, the ICT sector, and the energy sector, cooperating/associated within clusters, regional authorities, and sectoral organizations (e.g.: food producer groups, clusters, business environment institutions).

AGROTRANSILVANIA CLUSTER: Is a professional association of 70 members in the field og agri-food.
LATVIAN LOGISTICS ASSOCIATION: It is a voluntary association of organizations and specialists in logistics and customs.
COEXPHAL. ASOCIACIÓN DE ORGANIZACIONES DE PRODUCTORES DE F&H DE ALMERÍA. Is an association of cooperatives and enterprises in the province on Almería (Spain), that harvest and exports F&V products.
